no.. are u sure ur host/that folder supports PHP.. the // commented parts shouldnt be visible

Have the same effect. All script text (included DB-access data   is visable. PHP is enabled.

@Yngwiedis: you should remove the script. Anyone can access your DB!!

Ok i remove it but how can anyone access my DB ?

This mod has lots of problems.  Looks like his db name is hard coded into much of it.  Division by zero errors etc.  I'm also running 1.4 so that could be a problem too, I guess.

Okay sorry I was at work all day and didnt have time to respond.

First of all, take the script down, and put it in another directory and DON'T give anyone the link until the program is working correctly. Your MySQL username/pass is visible as commented by a user in another post.

Secondly, your server must have PHP installed (I assume it does if your using YaBBSE on the same server).
Also you must make sure the permissions on poll.php are 777. If they are 666 or 644 you will see the source of the code like you see there.

Lastly, I noted, the script has only been tested in YaBBSE 1.3.0, so if your running an earlier or later version there is a possiblity the script will not work.

If your still having trouble after trying the above, feel free to send me an email with your FTP user/pass and i'll go in and set it up for you.

Well, I got the poll working, partly.  When I go to the poll script directly withing the browser, the cookie seems to read fine and it knows when I voted and when I didn't.  However, when I call it and include it into the front page of my site, it doesn't read the cookie properly and it can't tell if I'm logged in or not.  Any suggestions?

Interesting. I think I know the reason. Give me about 15 minutes to fix it, and i'll post when ready. You'll have to download the script again however.

This should clear up both Yngwiedis and jthorpe's problems.

Okay i'll look into it more... While i'm at it, try including poll.php into a file OTHER THAN your home page and see if it still bugs out.
Include it into a blank php file just for the hell of it..
