Custom Stars And Colors Mod- This Mod Has Been Asked By alot of people..

Installation

   1) First Run The dbmod.php Script That Is Located In This Packet
   
   2) Use BoardMod To Install This Mod..

   3)Upload Editgroups.php File To Your Sources Directory

   3) Then Go To Admin Panel To Start Your Configurations

Instructions On How To Set Your Custom Stars And Colors

   I.How To Enable Custom Online Colors

      1) I Have Added This As Extra What This Does Is Allow You To Change Your Online Color In Whos Online.. This Is Turned Off By Default, You Can Enable It By Selecting To Turn It ON In Mod Settings... When You Turn This On Only Admins Are Allowed To Change Online Colors Of Members. If You Would Prefer User To Select His Color Change This Line In Profile.php:

   Change This:

      if($memsettings[7] == 'Administrator' && $modSettings['onlinecolor']==1)

   To This:

      if($modSettings['onlinecolor']==1)

   This Will Allow Users To Choose There Own Online Color In Their Profile Settings

      2) If This Is Disabled The Online Color Will Set To The Group Color The User Is Apart Of....

   II.Setting Group Colors

   
      1) Go To The Admin Panel And Choose Edit Membergroups

      2) By Default There Should Already Be Alist Of Colors For The Groups Which Was INstalled During The  Db Update Script..These Colors Are What Will Show If Custom Colors Is Disabled  

      NOTE: Even Though You Enable User To Change His Online Color, If The User Doesnt Have A Color Specified It Will       Show The Group Color He/She Is Apart Of..
      
      3) In The Color Selection Of Membergroups You Can Enter #FFFFFF or Just WHITE It Will Display Your Hex Value As well As The Actual Color..

   III Setting Group Stars

      1) By Default The Original Stars Were Entered Into The DB..

      2)The Group Stars Are Already Confugred In The Script.. This Means You Dont Have To ADD Multiple Stars In The Stars Area.. Just Add The Name Of The Star Located IN Your Images Dir.The Group Stars Will Be Automatically Configured.. Unfortunatelty You Cant Changed The Number Of Stars To A Group It Only Gives The Default Amount..  
      This Will Be Changed IN The Next Version..
      
      3)You Have To Add The Whole File Name With The Extension For Example star.gif not just star....

      4) The Size Was Not Defined so If You Dont Want Your Site To Have Weird Display Blocks Use The Default Size Or What Ever Is Convienient For You

When I go to modsettings I get this:

Parse error: parse error in /home/agigames/public_html/boardmod/Sources/ModSettings.php on line 59

Fatal error: Call to undefined function: modifymodsettings() in /home/agigames/public_html/boardmod/index.php on line 151

I tried logging in as a global moderator... for some reason it doesn't add me to the users online, even though I am online. I haven't tried it out for the moderator or regualar members yet though.

Also, what happens if no color is defined the edit member groups? I don't want to use a color for a certain member group and would rather it be the boards default colors.(I am talking about the css effects of my links mostly mostly).

Other than that, it all works well.

I have now set myself as a moderator... I can't see myself logged in still.

Also when I try to edit my profile, everything is set blank and I have to type everything back in.

There is far to many bugs in it right now, I am going to uninstall it.

did you run the db script?

If You Read My Post Correctly If You Do Not Assign A Color It Will Default To The Normal Color Of Groups  ... You Still Have TO Define A Color In Edit Groups.php For Each User Group....  Seems To Me You Either Have Another mod installed That Is Conflicting With The Other..I Did Have 8 other members from other forums install this and it went fine..


PLease Post The Code Where It Errors.... Also If Your Talking About Editing It Through Profile.php You Have TO Have It Enabled..

Also Your Site Wont Function Correctly If The Membegroup Listing Is Different From The Default IN The Db.. If You Have Changed This It Will Not Work..also Wont Work If You Didnt Run The Db Script

This isn't a clean board, it has my back to post mod added to it. It shows me logged in when I am an admin... I don't know about regular members though... and yes I ran dbmod.php.

I found the problem with that line, take a look at this:

This is what it says. For some reason this mod and your mod are clashing... Your mod added it right inbetween my mods setting. I wonder why your mod added it right in the middle of my code? I think this might be a bug with boardmodse, because it shouldn't have skipped the $ other wise this problem wouldn't have occured.

That problem in modsettings.php is my mod and your mod clashing, all the other problems are in source files that my mods don't even touch(well any that I have installed anyway).

Also, my member groups are the same as the default.

I don't think it's supposed to be showing IP's of the guests. This mod just keeps getting weirder and weirder...

hm...its boardmod screwing things up   i installed it manually and everything works like a charm  look at my test board

Uh oh, you need to do something, my IP is showing on your board index...

i made it that way i cant see it though only you can it only occurs when your a guest its like a log tracker

What about other guests and members, can they see it?

Can the admin see the IP?

no it just grabs your ip your logged at my site with thats all it doesnt display it to everyone

i will try and rewrite this mod again i probably missed something   if it works fine on my test board that means i did mis something
