I have just had a look at my setup for the smilies, I have the normal smilies in one directory and the extra smilies in another (set via admin).
Just athought....
Do you have all your normal smilies in the same directory (not the default dir) as the extra ones?

don miguel, your smilies directory for version 2 of this mod should be in your forum dir.

For example:
http://mysite.com/forums/smilies/

The smilies directory should not be in your YaBBImages folder. Also, to make sure everything is working correctly, check the "read smiley dir" option in your Mod Settings.

I forgot, the new folder is yabbse/smilies ...  ::)
And, i've checked the read smiliey dir - but the problem is the same as mentioned ...  :-\

When I use first a standard smilie and after that an extra smilie - it works ... but not vice versa ...  :P

Well I'm not gong to read through 47 pages. So

Can I use this WITHOUT boardmod????

I need this code sooooooooooooooooooooooo badly, but I dont want to install boardmod.



Also, I use the YaBB SE 1.5.1 so can someone give me a readme kinda thing. lol. Also, The readme that came with that download made 100% absolute no sense.

This is important, and I need to get this done today.

PLEASE HELP.

why dont u want to install boardmod?
it's not installation btw, u just need to unzip and use the program
and its job is just to make installing mods easier than doing it by hand
of course u can install the mod yourself if u want, just open the .mod file in a text editor and do what it say, like open what file, search for which line and replace/add before/add after the mods

what kind of readme do u need?
are u looking for a specific problem? try using the search function here

So Boardmod is like (hey im bad at examples) WS-FTP, but with a script edting thingie? So it does NOT need to be uploaded on my server right?

no, what it does is only make changes listed in the .mod file
then u'll need to reupload them yourself
just think of boardmod as a text find-replace tool

Ok Guys, I´m observing this Thread since 2 weeks or so....I´ve installed this great Mod on a 1.4.1 Board. Everthing went fine. Then I upgraded to 1.5.1 and nothing was working anymore...

Now I´ve made a fresh install of YabbSE 1.5.1 but the Smily Mod won´t run! If I try to install ist with Boardmod, it gives me some Erros like "String not found". If I install it by hand it blows the whole Board. :(

My Question: When will there be a 1.5.1 FINAL compatible Package of this Mod?

If anyone has MSN or YIM PLEASE PLEASE contact me

I downloaded bmod, but I have no clule wat it does. I keep getting errors and stuff. I know I installed all of it.

I am getting frustrated that I need some dumb program just to do this. Why couldnt I just upload it? Why does all the mods have to be so hard? I know I want the gallery, avatar, more smilies, and some other codes.

Exactly, step 15 and 16 gave some string errors.
A final compatible package would be great, a lot of people are not able to get it up and running.

Search and read a bit, you will find answers to every question if you take the time to find them.

To use Boardmod you must download your YaBB SE files from your server, and show boardmod where it is. Then install the files. Also, read the help files at the boardmod website. But, I might do YaBBPak version of this at some stage.

I'll have a final version of this for 1.5.1 very soon.
