I had no problems untill I reached step 11 of the installation, where I was faced with this error:

Could anyone give me an explanation as to what that means?

The mod works fine with me no problems at all. Installing it on RC44 does work fine to me
Cool :)

It means BoardMod was unable to find the string I asked it to look for. That happens because of a few things:
1) You have a mod installed, which already changed this code.
2) You have a different 1.5.1RC version to the one the mods were made for.

If you have build (38), download the mod on the first page. If you have build 44 (It *might* work with 25 also), then get the mod I attached to one of my posts on the previous page.  ;)

Cool. I've updated the first post to link to the attachment on the page before this. So, hopefully no one else will download the old one by mistake.

Edit the files manually? :D

Hey Big P, think we could get a list of all the mods you've made? ;) I'd be interested in knowing, and maybe installing a few others of yours :P

I had a problem running this mod with the gallery mod. When I tried loading the gallery I kept getting a parse error, the only way I could cure it was to change this line (in sources/subs.php)

               $dir_to_open = "$boarddir/smilies";

to

               $dir_to_open = "/home/**username**/public_html/yabbSE/smilies";

It didn't work when I tried putting in the full url, only as in the code

YaBB SE has the easiest way to install mods. BoardMod is excellent. It's not very likely mods will be included in the package as there are so many, and I dont think the Smilies mod is really neccessary for any YSE install.
Few questions for you though:
1) What version of YaBB SE have you installed?
2) What version of the smilies mod are you using?
3) Have you other mods installed?

Um, I'll give you a list in a bit. I'd have them, in my sig but there isn't enough room!

Hi Big P -

I'm using the Add More Smilies MOD via Wiziwig's Supermod, and everything looks nice excepting for a little niggle - when the box (vBull style or drop down) appears beside a post text area, the text area is shifted right. With the vBull style box it results in my losing a few pixels from the edge. Although not important, I'm wondering if there's a piece of code in Post.php that can be changed to rectify this?

Thanks for your time - and the mod as well. :)

What to do?

It looks like you're trying to run a php script but your server is in safe mode which is a thing that prevents scripts from modifying files they didn't create. What are you trying to do?

DJTommyC, I'm not familiar with Safe Mode and its restricions, but I know people who have this running fine in Safe Mode. I dunno really!

Just a heads up for everyone... If you have any smilies that start with a capital letter P, you'll want to change it to a lowercase p, otherwise you'll get :P followed by whatever the rest of the filename is and another : (ie you get ":Peace!:" instead of the image for Peace!.gif...)
