lol... I had that problem too, the yabbpak version has problems, it doesnt edit the subs.php file so you need to either edit it yourself or use the .mod file.

Well, actually the mod file hasn't got the problem, its YaBBpak itself. Anyway, open up smilies.mod, and see the <edit> sources/subs.php </edit> part.
The two steps after that need to be manually added, or just install using boardmod whatever floats your boat.

Ive got the fixed 1.4 version of smilies on my site. Should i upgrade??? I had a lot of trouble getting the 1.4 version to work and im worried ill get the same with 1.5.

Also what piece of code in which file needs to be edited to make the popup smilies window a bit wider?

I suggest you to upgrade to 1.5... Howhever you can control the size of the popup windows in the installed mods control center

Like Trushna said. The smilies 1.5 is not just compatible with 1.4.0, it has many new features. Also documented in the file itself.  
Make sre you follow instructions on upgrading (it tells you how to upgrade from 1.3 of the mod, and thats the same as the install you have. )

Ok I used the YabbPak and I got an error .. somehow smilie.php wasn't created so I uploaded it from the zip file and now I get it working, but where are the smilies at I just see code, name description and lots of other junk, help?

ok I found I had to add my own smilies heh .. little slow ..10 when the box pops up, I click on a smile, it isn't inserted in the post and is there a way just for the little pop-up to just have the smiles and not the code for it?

No. That would defeat the point. The code is for non-java enabled browsers.
You can also turn off the popup and go for the normal display, or new Smiley Block display in your "Mod Settings" panel.

the mod installed ok on my board, I do have one problem though. When you are posting a reply and you want to click on the more smilies link. It has a java script erorr it will not open the little pop up window. Any ideas on how to fix this problem?

YabbPak problem. Musn't of installed the smiley code. Use boardmod please (dont forget to uninstall the mod first)

Of course it does. Give me an example please. My mod has no effect on img tags.

You used yabbpak right? Well dont. Just uninstall the mod. It only seems to workfor some people and refuses to work for others, I really dont know why. Use BoardMod please.

I'm trying to resolve the yabbpak version, which will be downloadable for 1.4.1, and should fix any existing problems.

Ok so I went ahead and tested it, installs fine (tested with BoardMod 2.5.1) and works fine, however, linebreak didn't work, stayed checked and such, but it wouldn't linebreak in the row of smilies (with block and vb off.) Tested on YSE 1.4.1 v6
