So.. someone decided to use the PacMan version eh? Yeah I kinda left that step out! The next version will work in pacman aswell though, so that's allways good news!  

There are changes to the language file. I have found using boardmod does not correctly apply the MOD for some people and boards, therefore i suggest doing it manually.

On a clean YaBB SE install you will have no problems. The current version 1.3 is bug free, so you shouldn't have any problems with it.

Regarding 1.5, I had a go at it again today what with the slight break from my exams, I'm having a big problem regarding putting urls into javascript. I may need to use some advanced arrays which I'm not sure about yet...

I have  the 1.2 version and I don't know how I can upgrade to 1.3 (I'm on YabbSE 1.3.0)...? Could someone make a quick tutorial or something?
I downloaded the .ZIP file but all I need to do is modify some MySQL tables in PHPAdmin, am I right?? Thanx by advance for your hellp.

Instructions on how to upgrade are given in the readme.htm file included. Add the query in your phpmyadmin to add to the db.
You'll need to upgrade anyway if you want to use 1.5 when its out.. Unless you don't have it installed at all..

Ive tried to load smilies1.3 into my newly upgraded 1.4 board via the YabbPak but it comes up with errors telling me that there are strings not found....

Is there another way i can apply the mod??? or is there an updated version of the mod?

The YaBBPak version was always buggered I think! Go to this thread and download the Version for 1.4, you need to use BoardMOD though!

Hmm ive tried BoardMod...it seems as buggy as hell under XP. I ran the mod and uploaded the files to my server but there doesnt seem to be any admin section for the smilies mod.

The mod seems to have worked as it moved the smilies to the side of the post message box.

Where do i control the mod from. Ive gone right thru the admin centre but cant find refernce to it anywhere apart from in the Yabbpak centre.

Any ideas as to whats wrong?

I did that, and I uploaded the new Smilies.php file so I got the description but it's still impossible to use them in PMs, you have to add the code manually, is it normal?
I didn't notice other changes from the 1.2 version.

Smilies work in PM's. You may notice in your Mod Settings area smiley order chage etc. options. The Smiley order change works fine for the current version.

Snowman30, I had similar problems with boardmod. When installing it actually merges <add after> tags. Odd, doesn't always happen!
You can use my smilies mod Trushna updated to work with 1.4(all of 2 steps!), but if there are any problems with it I can't help you.

Now, back to 1.5, by wednesday I'll be able to get back to work on it.

Yes, like I said 1.5 will utilise BoardMod and YaBBPak. I already have a working version of 1.3 in yabbpak format, but I'm not going to release it as 1.5 is coming along nicely now. All the good featurs of Smilies 2.0 for the Perl version will be implemented. And how!

No I didn't reinstall the mod. I thought upgrading was just add SQL tables and upload the new Smilies.php file...I will modify the other files later, I need to do it manually so it will be kinda long...

I just reinstalled the mod...btw, I didn't see any changes in the smilies.mod...except for the Subs.php and English.lng files. I teste it and I still have my problem with the PMs.
Would you tell me in which file you did some changes so the smilies work in PMs? I guess it's in the Index.php file but I didn't notice a difference from the Smilies 1.2 version for that file.

Everything else works and in my Board Admin Panel, I can see I have the Smilies Mod 1.3 version installed. The only problem is the PMs.
