My former comment re. grin was not referring to your set. You already mentionned the white corners. Should be renamed: sealedlips.gif -> lipsrsealed.gif. Missing: huh, laugh, afro, azn, evil
Keep working on it, the set will turn out fine.

They look better on dark backgrounds. Some faces look a little angry, for example the grin one:

Its mainly the grin one who looked a little angry. Maybe its more the eyes than the mouth that make him look angry. The border is visible on bright bg colors but makes them probably smaller on dark colors. Also *with* boarder they still fit better on dark bg's (just my personal opinion). Smiley sets can be good and in spite be designed for specific bc color groups. My comment re. dark bg colors was not meant negative in any sense. Perfectly ok for me to leave away the border.

Of course smiley designers do not owe the 3 hidden smileys to anybody but experience shows people bug you all the time if you dont make them. I suppose azn and evil can be made without problems as summer suns. Re. afro smiley: one possibility is to make with the standard afro shape and face - without the sun rays - just with the sun smileys color sheme in the face.
