- This will allow users to subscribe or unsubscribe from your mailing of site changes, news and or updates


3: STAFF PROILE;

-This section can be used to diaply special staff signatures with bios and links.
That way people whom are staff on your site can feel appreciated!

Ok, well... In my yabb gold release, I had installed a mod that would display unread messages in a tree form...  icon up top of board index was labeled "SEARCH NEW" that would open a page allowing user to customize his search... then when submitted, would display messages (titles/author only)in a tree view...
....Like this....

Anyhow... point being... When I upgraded to yabbSE, for some reason, that mod didn't import with the rest of the installed mods, and the feature is no longer available on our message board...   yabbSE install seemed to recognize most of the other mods I had installed, and incorporate them into the admin area, and into the board in general... but not this one.  

So...
         How do I remedy this? or, can someone write a  
         NEW mod for this feature, WITH the addition of
         secondary message tree branches, off of the  
         person being  replied to ....instead of quotes  
        *(not like the "quote  author" , as depicted above)

  This was an important feature for us, and is a bummer to be without... my partner bugged the heck out of me about no tree view, and when I finally found a mod that would somewhat address this, it was a lifesaver...Now, I'm back at square one.

FYI YaBB SE comes with some pre-installed mods.  As mods for YaBB 1 Gold are incompatible, YaBB SE can't use those mods, and it doesn't detect and install them during install.  They are just there for your convenience.

ahhh... well that makes sense... hehe.... I made a stupid assumption, I guess.. hehe!  

Well.. I'm not quite as ignorant now, thanks for the education...  

... but I suppose my request is still valid cuz I still need that tree heheh!     Someone will come up with a solution eventually; I'm confident of that... I'm not the only one that's missing that feature since the upgrade...
