Are the MOD's for Yabb 1 Gold and Yabb SE compatible with each other?

no because yabb 1 gold mods are all CGI not PHP

WRONG!!!
Y1G mods are written in Perl, not CGI

CGI IS NOT A LANGUAGE

Therefore,
Y1G mods are Perl, not PHP.  There are many similarities in Perl and PHP, but not enough to be automatically compatible...
