install.php: mysql->"no yabbse_ prefix"

Don't know what is wrong. I installed yabbse on 2 servers. One runs Linux RH7.2, the other Linux RH7.0.

On the first one the mysql tables have the yabbse_ prefix. But on RH7.0 the install goes fine, no errors, until you enter the admin login at the end of the install.

It tells you that the yabbse_members table doesn't exist. And it's correct about that because the tables were created without the prefix!

On 7.2 this problem doesn't occur. Only on the 7.0 machine, running apache-1.3.22-1.7.1, mysql-3.23.32-1.7 and php-4.0.4pl1-7.

For some reason the table prefix thing doesn't work, you'll have to reinstall and empty the prefix field

Yea. Wierd though that it does work on Redhat 7.2 which has mysql-3.23.41-1 and php-4.0.6-7.

Anyway, It works on the faulty 7.0 machine with the empty prefix.

I'll register it tomorrow. Now i first go to bed :-)

Check if the one that didn't work has PHP < 4.0.5 - I made a FAQ positng about it.

Yep like i said before. It's 4.04 on the machine where is goes wrong so i guess you found the problem :-)
