What do the maintenance controls do?

Server Platform: Windows 98 or ME

Problem Description:
Just a question about the items in the maintenance controls section of the admin area of the YaBB SE mesaage boards.

What does "repair all boards and topics" do? Same for "recount all board totals", "clean active logs", "optimize database", and "dump database".

I don't want to click on one without knowing what it does and do irreversible damage.

What does "repair all boards and topics" do?

Fixes errors.

Same for "recount all board totals"

Fixes counting errors, like wrong numbers of members, posts etc.

"clean active logs"

Cleans the active logs.

"optimize database"

Tidies up your database by ditching unnecessary bytes (*not* stuff you need).

and "dump database".

Backs up your database (basically lets you download a copy).

I don't want to click on one without knowing what it does and do irreversible damage.

None of them do irreversible damage!
