Disable Im Notification and set a limit?

Problem Description:
Hi
I'm new at all of this (and I've already asked a lot, I'm sorry, but I want to learn) and I see that when you receive an IM by somebody in YABB SE forums, you receive an email notification of it,
is there a way to disable it?
And also, is there a way to set a limit on the amount of IMs that you may get?

To disable the notification, click preferences on the IM screen and untick the box.

As for limiting the number, it isnt possible with YSE (there may be a mod), though it is possible in SMF so when that comes out, you will probably want to upgrade to that
