YaBB 1 Gold DB Convert worked, but passwords don't.

When I imported my YaBB 1 Gold DB, it refused my password.

Now, I think I know why.

Since I am using that one security patch for YaBB 1 Gold that has to deal with Password Security and that fact that it encrypts them.

That in a way has screwed up any way of my ability to convert over.  Oh well, guess I have to tell everyone that they will have to resign up.

Yes, if you used the encryption mod in Y1G, don't get your users to re-register!!!  Get them to use the forgot password option and it will send them a new one!

Ok, I do get a new password in my mail togetter with my username but when I try to login I get a messeges that the "username is incorrect". Tried several times and with differant users. When you go to your db and change your password it's ok but on this board there are almost 900 members so that's kind of hard to change all these passwords.
Any one knows this problem (I search the board for this problem).
BTW quit often I get a password with a period in the password something like this: CZwzDyi.PlfxE

Is there anything special about the username? Does it have spaces in it?

Re. the period in the password - that's ok - . is a valid character.

In fact, it is my board, and everything went very well, but those encrypted passwords are bugging me !

Whatever password is sent to me, when I use the "forgot password" option, nothing works !

I tried to change it in the MySQL database (by hand), and that also didn't work.

I have too many members and messages to start with a clean board, and I really want to use this superb YaBBSE, so is there anybody out there who can help me (and others with the same problem) ?!

Or is somebody already working on it ?

Well, I get the password via email, log in successfully, change password, and boom, password not accepted when I log back in, wrong password.  Something is not right here.
