Hi Joseph - and others...
I tried installing yabbse last night, and had the same problem error as mentioned in:
http://www.yabb.info/community/index.php?board=131;action=display;threadid=2952The error was "Table 'xxx.yabbse_members' doesn't exist" (substituting xxx for my account name)
I logged into mySQL command line and ran a "show tables;" - and all tables listed, but without the default prefix of yabbse_ in front of each table name (I think that's what was supposed to happen?). I did not change that option during the install, so each table should have had that prefix.
Since they didn't, I took the suggestion in the thread mentioned above, and edited settings.php, and set $db_prefix to an empty string "".
When I tried going back to create the administrator account, it worked.
I have not tried to do anything else with yabbse yet - as I installed this in a directory that isn't yet mapped to the correct domain name. So I already noticed that when running the board, all the images are missing (cause the URL in settings.php is looking at the actual domain name, which doesn't have the folders I specified).
Anyway, if I have more trouble within the next few days, I'll post another message.
Joseph,
It looks like this is a common problem. If you need me to step through anything to help diagnose the problem, shoot me an email. I'm not working right now so I have some time on my hands. Could even give you my voice number if you want it.
Catch you later.
