PHP Version: MySQL Version: Server Platform: Link to Forum: http://www.hofoufn.com/Problem Description:I apologize for not knowing our PhP, MySQL Versions or Server Platform offhand as I haven't gotten a chance to discuss this with the Administrator at any great length thus far. Actually, I just began looking into the matter myself a few hours ago.
I also apologize if this has been covered here before, as I was not able to locate a resolution by searching... although I did find some information on
Supermod.org. However I wanted to ensure we were on the right track before actually suggesting any changes be performed.
On to our issue:
Essentially, anyone who has been selected as a "Super Moderator" loses the ability to edit their own profile. They receive an error message indicating "An Error Has Occurred! You are not allowed to change this person's profile." This happens for any user selected as a Super Moderator, from any computer. We've tried deleting cookies, (named apropriately) logging out and back in, and most every setting we could find in the Admin Console, all to no avail.
Supermod.org suggested we:
1. download the profile.renametophp from current fixes
2. rename it to Profile.php
3. overwrite yourboard\Sources\Profile.php with this one.
I've downloaded the file and renamed it appropriately, but before I forward it to our Admin I wanted to be absolutely certain this is the correct course of action. I'd hate to be the cause of any further issues with the forums.
