v1.5.1 to -> v1.5.4 clarification

Problem Description:
Hi.

I'm running v1.5.1 no problem.

I want to upgrade to v1.5.4 (the latest).

I read the page:

where it says under "Alternative upgrade paths" .. -> "Upgrade, don't execute upgrade.php"

Can someone explain this to me?

I downloaded and read the accompanying Installation guide (readme.html).

The first 3 steps (connect, open upload). This stuff I know how to do.

Do I simply stop there and NOT do steps 4-6, which address the upgrade.php file?

Sorry if this sounds juvenile. I'd rather be safe than sorry.

Yes, just pretend the upgrade.php files doesn't exist.
