Cannot connect through socket

Problem Description:
Hi,

I've recently migrated servers, and when I try to install YabbSE, I get the following error:

Warning: Can't connect to local MySQL server through socket '/var/lib/mysql/mysql.sock' (2) in /export/home/kahkfn/forums/install.php on line 109

Cannot connect to database server with given data

Anyone know what I can do to fix these errors?

Turns out it wasnt YabbSE that was the problem, I just had to use a different database (it wasnt localhost) when setting up.
