No, you can't do this, unless you're logged in as one of the membergroups allowed to access the board

so, its actually not a security bug, just a bug

i've coded quite a lot of changes for the next version, just haven't had the time to put them all together

if you want, try to replace Blog.php with this one:

FYI:  You've got a bad link for downloading the MOD.  It looks like this:

http:..siteurl.../B<br%20/>logmod.zip

It's easy enough to get around but a bit annoying.

If a registered user makes a comment in a blog, the e-mail adress is displayed even if he disabled showing the e-mail in his profile.

* Will the Smart URL mod will work with Blog Mod?
* Can we edit the time when the message was posted?

First of all I'd like to know, step by step, how to install this blog mod (this one, not a mod in general - I've already read the mod get&install thread but I didn't find it so useful...)
Then I think there's an error in blog.php coding page...
And finally how to start and use it.

it will be displayed if you're an admin...
i dont think its a good idea to display the email address when the user has selected to hide it...

just have two questions before trying this mod:
* Will the Smart URL mod will work with Blog Mod?
* Can we edit the time when the message was posted?

1. I don't know, I've never installed the smart URL mod... if the smart URL mod still accepts old-style url, it will work fine
2. It works the same way as posts in the forum, you can only edit it if you do it straight from the database

1. Upload the blogmod_dbmod.php file into your forum directory and execute it
2. Run the .mod file in BoardMod (you'll need to download the program)
3. Upload the changed souce and language files into their directories and upload Blog.php into Sources directory
4. Create 'template' subdirectory inside your forum directory and upload the content of "template" directory in the zip file there.

Sorry! I wrote this not as a request, it's an security issue in the Blog Mod. The E-Mail adress is shown in the blog even if the registered user disabled displaying the adress. The mod should check this and not display the adress.

I'd like to know how this blog works... can anyone help me?
Installing this mod i understood that as admin i can create a forum o modify a category with a blog board...
so then, if i do what above what will happen?

on my forums i have installed quick reply mod, and it allows other users to post to the blogs.
