[Beta 1.5.3] Maximum Images per Post

Hi, this is my first mod I've written completly on my own so bear this is mind if it's not efficient code etc

Anyway - I couldn't find a mod that does this so I decided to make one. Basically - this mod allows the admin to set the maximum amount of images allowed in a post on the forums. I wanted to be able to stop people from posting a post with 50 smilies in etc so I made this. It counts all images used (including smilies) and if it is greater than the maximum amount throws the user an error telling them to reduce the image count.

The maximum amount of images allowed can be set in the mod settings screen on the admin panel. I have only tested it on 1.5.3 so if using anything else I can't *guarantee* it will work but it doesn't modify much of the code so it should be OK

NOTE: You MUST install the db file in the archive for this to work (obviously!)

Sorry - I don't have time to support my old mods on YABB SE as I'm tied up in SMF development. I have already ported this to SMF so if you wish to use it I recommend waiting until SMF becomes public and install it when you upgrade.

would something like this dissallow those huge files sizes of images too,or can it be changed so people would not be able to post an image of 300,000 kb???

Afraid not lucky. It can only limit the amount of images - nothing to limit the actual physical size of the pictures I'm afirad. Basically - it just stops someone putting 10,000 smilies in a post etc.
