I really need a way to lock out the registeration and make it so only admins can register new users... The current mods wont work for 1.5.3 and i really need this one bad...

the application mod is for 1.5.2 which should work for 1.5.3. have you tried to install the mod manually?

Which one.. i tried the one for 1.5.1  but it didn't work gave me errors.. i need the name of the mod
