[Beta 1.5.3] Pruned Boards 1.0

This mod quite simply allows you to set the maximum life of threads on a certain board.  (by way of the last post in that thread...)
It does not delete stickied threads, but any other thread is fair game.

Set the fields in Edit Boards to 0 for no pruning.  Any other value will prune that span of days.  (even 360.)

Note that it only prunes once every 24 hours.

Regrettably, this mod does not work with my Redirectection/Locked Boards 1.0.

This mod is not to be used with ttCMS or ttForum.  No questions.

No, like I said it's based off the last post...

So, basically, if a topic is a year old, but someone posted a reply yesterday... and you have it st to 5 days... it won't delete it.

sweet, this mod helps SOOO much Thankyou!

EDIT

I found some errors,  after echo '<br /><hr />' you forgot the ; and when i install, i load up my forum and it says there is an error in the subs.php unable to find the table pruneDays.

I checked in the pruneboards.php and there is no pruneDays, there is however a pruneDats. dunno if this is a typo or not.  :P

I renamed the table to pruneDays and put the ';' in the file.

The only problem now is, that I have an error in index.php, do you have an error too ?

Run this query if you installed it before:

ALTER TABLE {$db_prefix}boards
DROP pruneDats;

And then reinstall.

What did we learn from this?  Don't change a couple things and forget to test it!  Oh, well..

I get no error... are you sure?  What error is it?

You can try...

You have an error in your SQL syntax near 'WHERE variable='pruningLastUpdate' LIMIT 1' at line 4
