Well, I completed all the steps but when I run index.php it shows me a load of line errors for it. What I want to know is, why? Anyway, one more thing is can I upgrade from YaBB Gold SP 1.3.1 (CGI) to YaBB SE because I already have YaBB Gold SP 1.3.1...

What are the errors you're getting?

You should be able to convert your YabbGold forum (provided that it's on the latest version) to YSE, just look in the second section down for converters.
