Karma + Post Counts, I need help.

I was not sure if this is the place to put it but here goes...

Can someone explain to me what the 'karma' mod does, and what it could be usefull for?

And also, is there a way I can remove post counting all together? My members dont care for post counts and are getting anoyed with people who think having a high post count is the 'coolest'.

Just set all your boards to post count 0 here and reset all your members to 0 post counts.
