"Safe Mode Restriction" in 1.5.1

I just installed a new copy of 1.5.1 and tried to change my profile under the admin account on the board. It loads about halfway, down to the ICQ and AIM fields, then I get this message box:

An Error Has Occured!
2: SAFE MODE Restriction in effect. The script whose uid is 513 is not allowed to access /home/virtual/site11/fst/var/www/html/forum/YaBBImages owned by uid 0
(/home/virtual/site11/fst/var/www/html/forum/Sources/Profile.php ln 214)

Am I overlooking something? I checked my PHP/MySQL versions before installing the software and they were fine. I have also CHMOD'd the files and directories twice. Everything else seems to work alright.
