Can you please tell me how an administrator can add items to the calendar without producing a forum message ???

I have tried but end up with a forum message that I don't want, I just wish the item to appear on the main index like the preprogrammed ones :-\

Unfortunatly with this version of the calendar you cannot do this.  What I would do is post the messages in an admin only category and then your normal members won't see them.  Or ask for a mod that will do what you want.

Thanks, I read in an earlier post that this was incorporated, guess not :'(

For us UK folk, it would be very useful, other than that this is a great system and I made a contribution on behalf of our club to your team for our appreciation to you...well done :)

Oh, you can edit the calendar and put events. You just have to go in your MySQL database using PhpMyAdmin. Select the database called yabbse_cal or something and you can edit the events there.

I've done this because my community is Norwegian and we don't want to know all of the American holidays.
