I'm looking to customise a new nav bar elsewhere on the template, to replace the standard YaBB SE nav bar(you know, the "home" >> "logout" images and links).

From what I see in the template, the images and links are coded into the title <yabb im>. But I've run a search through my YaBB files for this title and simply cannot find it anywhere.

Would someone be so kind as to kind me to where to look so I can extract the relevant HTML for creating a new forum nav bar?

Much appreciated.

Ah - now reading that code does look complicated. I was expecting something more familiar to HTML (as someone inexperienced perhaps would).

I'll try to figure something out by messing with the <yabb im> tag placement.

the current navbar is in $yymenu, a var, not a function; it's inside template_header() function ;)

if u want to code your own nav bar, u can create your own yyfunction, read this for details: http://www.yabbse.org/community/index.php?board=134;action=display;threadid=2518

Thanks for that - but coding really is completely over my head - no experience of it. I can move scripts, insert, copy paste, and perhaps tweak numbers - but I wouldn't know how to touch script otherwise.

However, I've just inserted something I thought would work and it actually has - now have a side menu with my own images. I don't know how to order them, but looking at the code in the thread referred to it's simply a case of moving snippets around in Subs.php.

Oh - and BIG faux pax - when I came to altering the template I realised that it was actually <yabb menu> I needed to move, not <yabb im>. Nearly a very silly mistake.

Happy now, though, and thanks again for your help. :)
