recent topics problem

I used SSI and it works fine, except the recent topics, when I check "ssi_exapmples" then I get this:

Recent Topic Function: <? recentTopics(); ?>

Warning: Missing argument 1 for recenttopics() in /home/xsibase.com/www/forum/SSI.php on line 230

any help? thanks.
