Mod Info:
This mod enables a user to input a song he/she is currently listening to. The mod can be disabled/enabled in "Installed Mods Settings" page; there's also an option to enable/disable ubbc tags for the user input.

BoardMod Installation Instructions:
1. Run this .mod file under BoardMod
2. Upload and execute "nowlisteningr_dbmod.php"
3. Upload all the changed files (4 files: english.lng, Display.php, ModSettings.php & Post.php) into their directories

Tips:
• to add an image, like in the screenshot, just upload an image and use the [ img ] tag in "Installed Mods Settings" page
• a better text than "Now listening to: " perhaps is "Was listening to: "

I've also got the avatar upload mod installed so i ad to edit my modsettings file to get it toinstall properly. Only made one change then it installed through yabbpack very easily.

It doesn't work quite like I thought it was going to though. It appends the "Now listening to: blah blah " to the bottom of the post, I thought it would probably be added to the top of the signature section or possibly added to the profile page.

What would be cool for this mod is to have it as an option that a user can add a song / album they are listening to the profile page. Then they can tick a box that says display what I'm listening to, and if ticked it ads it to the top of their signature out of the way of the post.

They can then go back and turn the option off or change it to a different album via their profile page and all the posts would be updated.

The yabb se version of this mod works exactly as is shown in those screenshots.

It'd be good if this could be more like the moods mod, where you can enter a mood/album/song that you are listening to in your profile settings, and then it displays either at the top of your sig (preferable) or on the left under your avatar somewhere. You could then change it whenever you like via the profile page and it'll be updated in all posts.  What would also be good is aswell as an admin option to enable disable the mod, an option for the user in their profile as a tick box whether they want it to be displayed in their posts.

Then it would be a kick ass mod!

Yeah...sorry i fixed.

I had to change permissions to get the pack to run.
So the few times i did it doubled the code....i just removed it.

A couple things Spiff... first of all, that BoardMod file link doesn't work anymore, and second, you don't have anything in the YaBBPak file telling it to add "$nowListeningText" to the list of global variables at the beginning of display.php. Without this value in the global section, it won't show up. It took me forever to figure this out...

first of all, that BoardMod file link doesn't work anymore

i know, im too lazy to update all my mods to the temporary link, then if the immortalshades site is back again, i have to relink everything again

Well, I don't know either, but that's the only thing that worked. Before I added that, it didn't show up in the posts.

it's meant to be a local variable, not a global one
did the whole thing didnt show, or only the "Was listening to: " text?
