MySQL Username?

I did a search and got nothing on my question.

I had cpanel at my old host wich made setting up a DB really easy. Now with my new host they just have phpmyAdmin for MySQL. I created a database name wich was a no brainer, but I was wonder how to create the username and password so I can install YaBB SE again on my new host. Thanks

Can anyone help me? I want to start using YaBB SE again, but I can't create a user name correctly, I keep getting errors on the setup of YaBB SE. Help me please

the username and password is the one asked when u logon to phpMyAdmin
your host is the one who should provide that user/pass, or maybe u have the ability to create one yourself in the CP

I have access to the actually DB, I can create a username and password myself, but when I do create one I don't do it correctly becasue I get errors when installing YaBB SE.

Then if I mess around with the permissions I can get it as far as accessing the DB through the install but then it doesn't insert anything into the DB

Id rather create a new username and pass for the board becuase the one that's already there is the same info that I juse for FTP and ADMIN for my website and I'd rather not chance someone accessing that info if you know what I mean

I use bluedomino.com and I have my own MySQL installed on my server... and like I said, I can create a new username and password. I can get to the point where YaBB SE is acctually able to log into the DB but then it won't insert anything I don't know what I'm doing wrong???

u have to set the permissions on what your user can do

I got it to work thanks! I was forgeting to restart MySQL for the changes to take affect

is it a dedicated server?

I ment reload... and it's a partitioned server and I have my own partition... so it's kinda like a dedicated server
