i know this can be fixed with a update query with mysql but im not exactly sure of the fields and tables and everything that is needed ...

can some1 please write me a  little mysqll script to update the admin password?

(with the update content as $password, and have $password = "whatienter";
$password = crypt($password);
at the top)

i need that to be able to log back in, but there is still the big problem of the mailing errors ... can someone pleasse give me help for that 2?

the password should be sent to your email account
unless u didnt set up the sendmail configuration properly -> u can do that in Settings.php
if u dont know what the proper setting is, ask your server admin

if u cant receive mails, u can register a new account, and make that account into admin via phpMyAdmin or use the admin restore tool -> http://www.yabbse.org/jeffstools/

thanx ... but i did set up the mail right .... but it keeps being reset everytime i edit forum preferences and settings .. shouldnt there be options for it in there?

that script was just wot i needed,
i just edited the $user field to MORT,
and the memberGroup="Administrator" field,
to passwd='mycryptedone'

but why are they there, and why are there settings in settings.php that just default every time u edit ure forum preferences and settings???

a bit confusing ... and you can actually set your sendmail path in the admin center, you have to open up settings.php ... why isnt it just all done in one menu like forum preferences and settings?

1. return to topic after post does not work

I've noticed that if the forum thinks a user has two IP addresses they will get a database error:

Database Error: Column 'identity' cannot be null File: /home/fed2k/public_html/forum/Sources/Subs.php Line: 1090
/forum/index.php?board=7

Is this because of the log_online fix?
