This mod enables user's to hide images in signatures (checkbox in profile). When enabled, it changes the image to a URL.

This means users can choose if they want to see images in people's signatures. Smilies are not affected.

I can't be sure but I suspect this will work for 1.5.0 only.. I can adapt it to 1.4.1 if there's a demand...?

Actually, i have two 1.5 boards, but my main board where I want to try this is holding out on 1.4.1 for 1.5.1  so it depends on how long that takes to be released...

I'm not dead sure, but I think it might be out relatively soon.  This, mind you, is more like a 'gut feeling' than actual knowledge.

I've fixed a few bugs and the current release is 1.03... (as linked to in first post)

1.1 will hide [[flash]] tags too- coming soon!

I warmly welcome any feedback on this mod, and any suggestions for improvement

Does it replace the image with the whole url or with some sort of text? For example instead of printing a long url it would just use the "[IMAGE]" which would then link to the image. In some cases using that approach would make the signature easier to read.

At the moment it replaces is with a big long URL. However I think you're on to something with that! I'll look at that for the next modification to my code

As a long term goal, I was hoping to add some sort of preference for users whose sigs get hidden... so they could provide an ALT-like text. I'm not sure if this is viable, especially with multiple images in one sig. Any ideas on how to do it would be welcome.

The latest release now features hiding Flash tags as well.

Really good mod m8, but i would love to either remove the url completely or to replace it with a text like "picture" or something like that.
