i had no problems at all. te skin columb does exist, but the default skin setting isnt in the settings table, not sure what to look for, in the setting table, there is variable and value

Look for a row in the variable column that has to do with default skins or something similar.

heh, sorry i fixed it, i just re uploaded a fresh profile.php and installed my mods again.

Is there anyway i can make it so the templates DONT have there own yabbimages folder? so all the templates point to 1 folder, or if the yabbimages folder exist then get the images from it, else get it form /home/forum/yabbimgaes

yes i figured it out, but i would like to do something like if yabbimages is in the skins/skinname folder, then switch the images to it. not quite sure how to do that.

so i would put skins folder in
maindir/yabbse/
?
Also how am i suppose to install skins? When i get skins from http://boardmod.yabbforum.com/ there just copy and paste the template code

EVERYTHING needed to use skins is in the zip file including an example skin.

And yes the Skins folder does go in your main yabbse directory.

To install skins you just copy the yabbse directory that is in the Skins directory and you paste and rename it to your new skins name and boom, you have a new skin simple as that.

I really hate having to repeat myself... I have told you guys numerious times in the topic how to install more skins... but you guys just can't seem to read.

Apparently your host has disabled the use of file_exists();

This mod will not work with out it because it has to check if the template file exists and if not then use the default.

Talk with your host about it. If you are the host then please turn on the use of file_exists();

It was a problem with the safe mode, it's working great now
Thanks Chris! it's a great MOD! Just one more thing is it posible to show in a .php (or .inc) file the name of the skin that the user is using (if he didn't selected it there should show the default skin's name)

Looks great - however I'd like to see the options that came with the custom templates mod allowing you to edit your skins and also set it so that edit your forum template will bring up the default skin template and not the template.php file in your main folder...

Well, I just installed this on my main board, and am having fits... I copied my regular template and all the images over to the new folder, and now when I'm a guest, it works, but if I try to login it complains that it can't find a template file in a folder called '0' in skins, and it looks like it didn't set the default name... grrrr
