[Beta 1.5.1RC1 & 1.4.1] Photo Gallery Mod

Is there a way to get the Photo Gallery to use a different background - like Windowbg2 or Windowbg3?  I'm now using a jpeg for a background and while the forum looks good - the gallery on this background does not.

edit the gallery css file
u can do it through the admin page or edit the css and  upload it to the server

Thanks Sapceman.  I cannot find where to edit a gallery CSS file off the admin page but I see Style.CSS in the gallery directory - so will fool with that.

A little while back somebody posted a fix for the album sort problems associated with global settings on some PhP installations. The fix worked except for a tiny glitch, the album (at least on my server) did not pick up the default sort until an album page was clicked on...  The first page would be unsorted.

OK... I decided to hunt that glitch down and squash it. It's a one-liner in index.php

About line 128 replace this

Note this is on the 1.4.1 version the change may vary slightly on 1.5.x

its not in forum's admin page
but in the gallery admin page/gallery settings page

Ah, found it Spaceman - you can see the problem with a non contrasting background!  

Can you tell which CSS class it edit to display a background jpeg in the gallery?

Thanks Spiff!  I appreciate all your efforts in helping me get my gallery working properly.  You're the man!

Also, I too was able to use the css information you just posted about changing the backgrounds and such, I was wondering about that myself.  It works great!

I still am unable to get my gallery buttons to show up directly on the main forum page, but that's ok if I don't get that working, the mod still works great from the direct link.

if you do View Source in the gallery page, you can see which table uses which style
i think in the main page (album list), it uses class="tableb"
i dont know about other pages

it is designed that way, will need to add more code to do that

To get the search new function working, edit addpic.php, search for:

Is it posible to do order the albums in date descending when there's a new picture?, it will be easier check which albums it's updated

Yes, and if the sort options are not working there is a fix for that somewhere in this thread. Is seems somewhere around page 39 if memory serves. I just recently posted a small fix for the fix, Page 46 I think.
