quick question...

some of my members logon via my board. Then quit out of chat.. they are then able to enter any name and log back onto the chatroom.

Is there a way to prevent this? Just wondering

The mod works like a dream with one exception, it doesnt show who is in the chat in the forum. Does anyone have an idea what could be wrong?

The script works great.  But I notice the Java is a bit slow to load.  I use a 256K sDSL connection.

But my main question is where to put this:

The Subs.php I have has more settings like this in it:

It doesn't say anything about cgi or profile.  Could you help me out please.  I'm installing it manually.  The first try, I got 3 chat buttons on the menu.  That's when I checked out how it works.  :-)

I got it running my own way.  I'm calling it through a
block in the top center of the page.  It runs well and their admin functions are EASY to set up.

Andre, make sure you did not make the chat room secret, or invisible. Also make sure you added the code that lists who is in the chat room. Setup is listed in the mod setup.

 The javascript is large but you will only have to load it once if you have internet explorer setup to cache javascript files. From then on it loads immediately. Also, on my 56k it takes less than one minute.
 That line goes inside of the subs.php around the profile line so it will only show up to logged in users. If you play around with it you can find it. What version of Yabb are you using? The line I put in the find was from 1.4.0 and 1.4.1.

How do they quit out of chat? You could add members manually to the chatroom and make it a member only room. I am working on an addon that would create a password for each user and store it in the datbase and then log users in and add them automatically, but it will be awhile before I get that out.

They just click on the chat X in the top right of the jave app. This then returns them to a Login screen. Where they can only enter a username. When they click connect it brings them back to the room.

Its not a problem at all. Just thought i would mention it

i added it to my website.  after i get some beta testing done with it, i'll be changing over to it soon.  i have 600+ chat member nicks registered, and am wondering if there's a way to offer multiple rooms without them having to log in for each one.

What is really weird is that i have done all that. Can other mods interfer with the code?

The only downside with your chat is...

its soo addictive my members spend all their time in there!! not posting so much
