Well if I can figure out how to make it work for both site.com and www.site.com I will.

How does this effect mods such as 'alloweduser-1.4'?

It shouldn't affect them. But since I don't have that mod installed I can't be 100% shure.

I guess the alloweduser mod will still write cookies for its portion.  I'm totally for sure on this as I look at the code and think I'm in another land.  But I'm learning. hehe

Not sure if it will help but vbpal had some ideas on fixing cookies and talked about how that would work in this thread:
http://www.yabb.info/community/index.php?board=172;action=display;threadid=10443

And of course this but you've probably already seen it:

Yeah, I have been studying the session functions, I have been playing around with session_destroy, session_id and session_name... but as to when the next release will be ready... give me more time, I am still learning about sessions.

Has anyone tried this on 1.4.1 yet? Just curious as to whether it works or if I need to make it work with 1.4.1. So has anybody tried yet?

I can't remember if I had to change anything though.  All I remember is that it is installed and works.  It WAS 2:30 AM at the time.  ::)

Nope when the close the window they are logged out, for the next version this will be fixed. And it will automatically log you on.
