Very nice mod, so I'm told, I still don't know yet myself.

I've installed manually as I don't like boardmod ... lol ... had no problems doing that, but something went wrong.

I've set my codes for one of my smilies as ":party1:" but when I click on a smiley to insert it into my reply, it just inserts the smiley code, not the smiley, nothing I can do to get it to show.

Also, now when I try to go to the "Installed 'Mods' settings and options" or whatever, it gives me the following copied errors;

Fatal error: Call to undefined function: modifymodsettings() in D:\Users\hosted\storypost\forum.php on line 304


Any ideas as to why?

I'm not much good with fixes in php or mods yet, so any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks


Edit - I have also tried this on a fresh board, and I still get the exact same errors.

The only mods I have installed on my main board are who.mod - hiddenuser.mod - quickadmin.mod. The only other ones are the ones that are included with YaBBSE 1.5.4. So with that I can't really get a fresh board unless I start removing preinstalls, which I shouldn't have to do. Thanks

On line 33 of ModSettings.php, it's expecting a { to be there It's as simple as that.

You have to install the mod from the main forum directory. You will be able to choose which directory to use for the smileys during installation. All of those errors are caused because you're trying to install it from the smilies directory, and there is no settings.php file there (where all the DB stuff is stored). Move smiliesdbmod.php to your main forum directory and run it.

I have a bug... I'm not sure if it's caused by this mod or another mod, but I think it's this one. Anyway, I started a Smiley Pyramid game on CokeCan's board because it's a lot of fun (and he wanted me to), and we didn't get very far before we ran into this error:

Fatal Error: Maximum execution time of 30 seconds exceeded in .../Subs.php on line 1028

This is what's on line 1028:
      $message = preg_replace($smileyfromcache, $smileytocache, $message);

The reason I think this is caused by the add more smileys mod is because I started this game on another YaBB SE 1.54 board that doesn't have this mod on it, and we're still going strong after 41 rows with no errors. Once we got past 16 rows on CokeCan's board, this happened. Any suggestions?

Thnx, that was my exact prob. To your post (above) maybe you have too many mods on your board, and it's not compatible? Just a suggestion.

It seems that it changed out of nowhere.  Any idea what would cause my smilies window to no longer rotate cell colors for the smilies.  It's putting black for the background on everything.

I put the 2 smilies php files in my board and tried installing (i have no way to use boardmod to install this) and i get this error.

Error updating the DB. SQL Error: Can't create/write to file './yabbse/yabbse_smilies.frm' (Errcode: 13)

Am I installing it properly? Or is there a step by step manual installation way to do it? If anyone has a link or where to look in this post, that'd be great.

How come you can't use boardmod? It's very good to use, and I'll instruct you in how to use it, if you want.

Me?  The cell background colors behind the smilies in the smilie window are all black.  It's not reading the template so you can't read the text below the smilies.  The entire bg is black and if you view the source of the smilies window it specifically references the bgcolors for all cells as black 000000

What part of the template file does the smilies mod use?  I am just going to make a new one and edit it to the bare minimum of what the mod requires for a template.
