Is it working with 1.5.3? I want to update my forum but I want to be sure that this will have no problems first :)

I installed my skins mod to my 1.5.1 FINAL version, and then got bored and manually updated my forum to 1.5.3,  and it still works! ;)

Does that count? ;D

If my mod is working in a 1.5.3 board, then yes. :P

I'll let you know soon if it works with 1.53 - I'm finally going to update my Lycos board (it's currently 1.51 - mainly because it's a lot of work upgrading it when you can't use YaBB Paks). As soon as I know if it works, I'll post something out here about it.

Updated my lycos board to 1.53 - no problems... Will try reinstalling it on my main board soon. Also, see if you can kind of combine this with the template editing features from the Custom Templates mod - it would make life a lot easier... Just create a link in Admin.php that says "Edit Your Forum Skins" or something, and have the "edit template" thing pick up the default skin.

That would be quite handy, as it's a little bit of a pain to have to download the template file, and e-mail it to my fellow board admin, rather than give him FTP access. Would make things much easier :D

I don't have time to do that at the moment, but I am sure that someone can do this easily.

Hmmm... It works just fine on my Lycos board, although that board isn't as modded as my regular board, however I do know that someone else is having the exact same problem... Really strange...

Ok now I get this error...

On Step 5 I get a failed - ERR(1): Search string could not be found error.

On Step 5 its suppose to edit the profile.php and its suppose to replace:

$request = mysql_query("

      SELECT passwd, realName, emailAddress, websiteTitle, websiteUrl, signature, posts, memberGroup, ICQ, AIM, YIM, gender, personalText, avatar, dateRegistered, location, birthdate, timeFormat, timeOffset, hideEmail, ID_MEMBER, usertitle, karmaBad, karmaGood, lngfile, MSN, secretQuestion, secretAnswer

      FROM {$db_prefix}members

      WHERE memberName='$user'") or database_error(__FILE__, __LINE__);

With:

$request = mysql_query("

      SELECT passwd, realName, emailAddress, websiteTitle, websiteUrl, signature, posts, memberGroup, ICQ, AIM, YIM, gender, personalText, avatar, dateRegistered, location, birthdate, timeFormat, timeOffset, hideEmail, ID_MEMBER, usertitle, karmaBad, karmaGood, lngfile, MSN, secretQuestion, secretAnswer, skin

      FROM {$db_prefix}members

      WHERE memberName='$user'") or database_error(__FILE__, __LINE__);

And I get the same error with step 6 when its suppose to change This:

$request = mysql_query("

         UPDATE {$db_prefix}members

         SET $queryPasswdPart $customTitlePart realName='$member[name]', emailAddress='$member[email]', websiteTitle='$member[websitetitle]', websiteUrl='$member[websiteurl]', signature='$member[signature]', posts=$member[settings6], memberGroup='$member[settings7]', ICQ='$member[icq]', MSN='$member[msn]', AIM='$member[aim]', YIM='$member[yim]', gender='$member[gender]', personalText='$member[usertext]', avatar='$member[userpic]', $member[dr]location='$member[location]', birthdate='$member[bday]', lngfile='$member[language]', " . ($username == $member['user'] ? "memberIP='$memIP', " : '') . "timeFormat='$member[usertimeformat]', timeOffset=$timeOffest, secretQuestion='$member[secretQuestion]', secretAnswer='$member[secretAnswer]', hideEmail=$hideEmail$karmaStr

         WHERE memberName='$user'") or database_error(__FILE__, __LINE__);

With this:

   $request = mysql_query("

         UPDATE {$db_prefix}members

         SET $queryPasswdPart $customTitlePart realName='$member[name]', emailAddress='$member[email]', websiteTitle='$member[websitetitle]', websiteUrl='$member[websiteurl]', signature='$member[signature]', posts=$member[settings6], memberGroup='$member[settings7]', ICQ='$member[icq]', MSN='$member[msn]', AIM='$member[aim]', YIM='$member[yim]', gender='$member[gender]', personalText='$member[usertext]', avatar='$member[userpic]', $member[dr]location='$member[location]', birthdate='$member[bday]', lngfile='$member[language]', " . ($username == $member['user'] ? "memberIP='$memIP', " : '') . "timeFormat='$member[usertimeformat]', timeOffset=$timeOffest, secretQuestion='$member[secretQuestion]', secretAnswer='$member[secretAnswer]', skin='$member[skin]', hideEmail=$hideEmail$karmaStr

         WHERE memberName='$user'") or database_error(__FILE__, __LINE__);

Can somebody help me...

For the second part, there needs to be a space and a comma between the $hideEmail and the $karmaStr I believe.

For the first part, I dunno what could be wrong. Do you have any other mods installed? Open up word or notepad, or a PHP editor that shows the lines, and paste what is currently in your profile.php in both those places

That's the problem... neither one of those places seem to exist.
