Hey Spiff...
I was wondering if you could help me since noone will answer my question at Coppermine. It's funny when people think your question is stupid because this question has been asked several times...so they decide not to answer it.
Well...I'm trying to use the gallery minus the mod within my site. (I think I will use the mod for just my guest to upload pics in the board.) But this gallery is for me only. Anyway. I'm just trying to embed the gallery into my page and I don't understand their directions. I even tried to point out to them that I am a designer not a programmer.
 
But I'm not a plum idiot!!! The directions they gave to embed the gallery isn't working for me or maybe I just don't understand the directions. I figured you had a tight understanding how this gallery works and would be a better help. You don't have to post here to answer my question. i saw your post in coppermine forum
its only a day old
the only person answering questions is greg, who is a nice person btw
and he isnt around everyday, so u'll just need to be patient  and wait for an answer

i have no idea about embedding since i havent tried it

WTF the program is 20 MB (got a webspace of 25 MB)

onsforum, imagemagick is optional, its for better jpeg quality (also in GD 2.x) and gif support

When I installed the Photo Gallery it gave me an error at the end, when I was trying to open the index.php.

I got this errors:

I am just in the process of moving over to rochenhost (thanks to Chris for answering all my silly questions in the early hours of this morning)

All seems to be working ok apart from my gallery!

It works in a fashion.. apart from complaining it cant find my template.php?!

The rest of my board is working ok.

This is the error I get...

I have no idea where to look as the rest of my board (template and all) is working nice and fast...

just copy your current template.php, rename it as template.html and upload that...

did u try to install in a subdirectory of the forum?
that error msg happen when u put a wrong value in one of the database settings (username, password, dbname, servername)

Tried copying over to template.html

still get

Have tried change this

   $templateFile = $boarddir."/template.php";
   if (!file_exists($templateFile))
      $templateFile = $boarddir."/template.html";
   include ($templateFile);

to

$templateFile = "/home/pioneer/public_html/yabbse/template.php";
include ($templateFile);

and it works now

  GRRRReat Mod!

I had to do a manual install, but after using the code spiff put up it works fine!

I do have a couple of questions.

1) The option in the general settings, for allowing global mods admin rights (except the general settings)

I tick this, but it reverts back? I assumed as I am not allowing general members to create albums, this would give global mods the right to create albums.

2) My Calendar (and whose online) button disapears when viewing the gallery   - is there a way to fix this?

3) As far as I know, quite a few yabb se'rs changed the home button on there page to redirect the user to the home page of the site, and not to the board index. If any body has done this then there is no option in the gallery menu to get back to the board index, so the user is kind of stuck.

My solution to that one, is to create an index button on the main menu bar - this links to the main index, where as the home button links to the home page of the site.

Its not difficult to add the button, if anyone needs help, I'll post the code here.

I was just wondering if there is a better solution?
