I noticed today that one of the members of my board had an IP address of 192.168.0.x which isn't possible. Is this the board messing up or is he somehow spoofing that address?
Spoofing it.

Quote- ftp links can now have usernames/passwords.

I'm using RS 1.5.1. build 45 and I can't get ftp links to work with username/passwords.

Using this code.

[ftp]ftp://user:[email protected][/ftp]

Ends up with this.

ftp://user:[email protected]

It works on what I have.... (which isn't build 45, but I haven't changed the FTP stuff....)

Are you sure you uploaded Subs.php?  Might try a detailed version check.

[edit:]
Wait, I see the problem.... you need to use a slash on the end... ie.
[ftp]ftp://user:[email protected]/[/ftp]

Just checked to be sure and yep, Subs.php is uploaded (and chmod'ed to 666.)

With the ftp coding I used in my previous post, it ended up with exactly what happens on my forum (ie. adding the [target="_blank...] part to the actual link. I'm stumped, unless the "user:pass" part goes somewhere else in the link... dunno.

edit: just noticed your edit...

ftp://user:[email protected]/

edit #2: same results. ???

This board is NOT 1.5.1 build 45.... it doesn't work here.

To see it working (using the code I gave)... look here:

D'oh! I guess I should've tried your advice on my forum as well. Added the trailing "/" and all is well. Thanks for the help.  :)

Aaah!

I thought I had it.... Now the link works (ie. no [[target="_blank...] part.) but when you click the actual link it adds the forum location to it. eg. http://www.site.com/forum/\"ftp://user:[email protected]\" and it reverses the final slash. (the same thing happens on your test forum as well)

- fixed FTP links. *again!* (bobonion)

Okay, who's the wise guy who added slashes to my regular expression?  I know it wasn't me because it worked properly in my secret project....

Not sure whether you would consider it a bug, but posting loads of smilies causes

QuoteFatal error: Maximum execution time of 30 seconds exceeded in /home/rawk/public_html/forum/Sources/Subs.php on line 992

and the thread to fail to load fully.

Demonstrated @ http://cbeta.yabbse.org/index.php?board=3;action=display;threadid=221;start=0#msg1024

I guess it is a bug really as it can be used by anyone to piss you off by wrecking threads, only way to sort it is with phpmyadmin and trim the post

Regards

http://cbeta.yabbse.org/yabbse_1-5-1RC1B45_upgrade.zip (use this if you have version 1.4.0 through 1.5.0 installed currently.  Just upload the files and then run upgrade.php)
http://cbeta.yabbse.org/yabbse_1-5-1RC1B45_update.zip (use this if you have an older build of RC1 installed at the moment.  Upload all the files, and run the upgrade.php included.)

Note: You will need your password after you use the upgrade package.  Make sure you know it before upgrading, as the cookie will be unset.

Please understand, the safe mode install is NOT better than the standard install - it is ONLY for if your host has you in SAFE MODE. (which means they are limiting you.)
http://cbeta.yabbse.org/yabbse_1-5-1RC1B45_safe.zip (use this is you do not have YaBB SE installed yet, but your server is in safe mode. Just upload the files, and run install.php)

Hi and thanks for the work,

I have a 1.5.0 forum running under safe mode.
So I installed the 1.5.1 safe mode version
on another base and space disk.
it works well.
Now I wish to upgrade my previous dabase
from 1.5.0 to 1.5.1
What do I have to do?
I suppose I can take the upgrade.php from the non_safe_mode upgrade version, but would that work?
if yes is this file alone sufficient for that upgrade task ?

thank you in advance

The upgrade is basically a safe mode package.  Just download the upgrade, overwrite your existing 1.5.0 install, and run upgrade.php.
