I'm using 1.5.2 and the version 2.1 you *just* released...

And I just discovered that the option to move the order (up and down) produces an error and also, when I open the "view all smilies" window and click one, it doesn't do anything.

Any suggestions?

Man, I dont know what you're doing, but these errors dont occur if you followed the instructions correctly. You can't move smilies unless you have any added anyway (through the mysql), if that's your problem.

Well, that's reassuring  LOL.

The smilies popup always worked fine.  Now when you click an icon, the page freezes and you can't do anything but close it out.  It's doing this for all my users.  Would this have anything to do with the location of the images?  I think I need to enable the status bar on that popup so I can see what the errors are...

otherwise, the normal 16 smilies and the preview block works fine.  ??

How are you reading your smilies? From the SQL or from the table. Do you have your smilies in the smilies folder like I told you?

Yes, my smilies are currently in BOTH locations.  Your smilies folder and their orignial location in YaBBImages.

I don't know how to answer your first question -- to tell if they're reading form SQL or the table?  I have been running your mods since the first one.  So however that works.  Should I delete all the smilies through the mod and re-add them from the new smilies directory?

You said earlier that that would only leave :smile: (or whatever individual names) in the old posts instead of broken images, correct?  Is that worth a shot?

So, you haven't ticked the "Enable Smiley Dir" reading option in ModSettings?! Do! Tick it. Then all the smilies in your smilies folder will be "read" automatically by the smilies mod without having to add them manually by typing in the name of each file.

So:
1) Enable Smiley Dir reading in Mod Settings.
2) Check your smilies.
3) Reply to this post.


Can anyone who speaks (spanish?) help BBR? I'm not gonna even start, as that error could have happened for so many reasons.
Maybe you didn't run smiliesdbmod.php in your browser and click "install smilies mod"?

That was checked, as were all the check boxes except for Show VB Smiley Display in the Mods and Settings section of Admin.

Still no luck.

No comprendo que tu dices sobre los "archives"  -- que archives estas hablando sobre?

Necesitas un version limpio del subs.php?  Si quieres un, usas el version con el download de su version de Yabbse?  Porque hay versiones differentes dependemente en que mods tenemos installados.

En el otro mano, usas el mod, y el "address" para "install" the mod en su browser?

Lo siento si este es confusando...es extrano probar explanar directions en espanol para mi.  ;(

Try a different smiley view, and tell me if it works. (You're using the smiley block, so try disable that and VB  smiley display, then try just VB style smiley display).

If I uncheck VM and the block, it works but displays all 200+ smilies on the reply page (ouch! lol)

But separately, neither one works.

I take it you had no problems installing the mod with boardmod (no errors) and you replaced your smilies.php file too. I'll reinstall it again on my computer in a little while, and check it out.

Otherwise, I'd have to see your files to check for errors, which I really dont have much time to do. But we'll see...

I used your brand new ver 2.1 you attached to a post a few pages back on the thread and I used the latest boardmod I just downloaded.  No errors at all.  I didn't notice the smilies problem til yesterday night because i usually don't use the "view all smilies" option.
