This error occured to me:
In a topic I deleted a subject, after that, all the subjects were visually 'gone'.
Fycically they are still there and I can view them 'manually' (or one subject in the 'last message by' column).
What to do about this? Serious problem!

Ah - now here's a potential issue - hide e-mail preference checked in member profile still allows an e-mail icon in posts linked to that e-mail address in member posts.

Are you sure?  If you look around, there are people who post here with no email icon...

Ah - in which case it's likely a Supermod problem. Thanks for the reply. :)

hmmm I just noticed that the "/ me" IRC tag (without the space) does not seem to work on SE boards...while it is in fact present on regular YaBB boards...any chance to implement this?

OK, I ran the upgrade program from a 1.50 to 1.51 board.  The SQL stuff converted without problems, but every time the upgrade.php hung up with the last line "fixing Settings.php".

Settings is chmod to  666, so it should be able to write it, and I think it did.  But my board now crashes dramatically:

HELP!  How do I get the upgrade.php to finish up its work?

is Settings.bak.php CHMOD-ed 666 too?
try to CHMOd your forum directory 777
then CHMOD it back to 755 after upgrade

Didn't help.

The upgrade.php  program hangs at the spot when it  telling me it's "Fixing settings.php..."  It actually does fix the settings (the cookie parameter is changed to:

$Cookie_Length = 60;
$cookiename = "YaBBSE150usernamev14"; ).

Is something supposed to happen after settings.php is fixed?  I don't know enough about coding to be able to tell from looking at upgrade.php.

It's not hanging.  It's done.  That's how it finishes.

Make sure all your .php files are chmod'd 755.... including everything in Sources.

I have not been paying attention... anyone know which build introduced the change from using the var "$cgi" to using "$scripturl" to refer to the board in Admin.php?  I'm not sure which build I am running but it uses $cgi.  Just wondering...

[edit]I guess it has always had both for the same thing but at some point $cgi was replaced with $scripturl everywhere[/edit]

[edit]I take that back... it was not replaced everywhere... just some places.... this sucks!  Now I have mods failing on searches.[/edit]
