You did upload english.lng right? And can you change the Smiley Mod Settings? Like set the height to 200 and width to 200 of the smilies popup? (And have them saved)

I don't have a clue what RC1 build?? - I tried to figure it out & when I do a version check it just says RC1 - Sorry  I'm just figuring my way around here.

Yes, uploaded english.lng
I used the manual mode to edit with the newest version of board mod 2.52

I can change the smilies - add new smilies, and in the mod settings I changed the size - only problem is I don't see the text next to the checkboxes & the resize doesn't seem to work  :/

Not a huge problem now that I can change the size of the window Hmmm.

If you had to do a manual install, then you're most likely using a build of YaBB SE that this mod wasn't written for. Meh to it anyway, you have it working!

How can I install this with BoardMOD?

Board MOD only works up to YaBB SE 1.4.1

Simple... Just install it by putting the mod in a new folder in the "mods" folder called YaBB SE 1.5.1 or whatever. That's how Boardmod picks up the version.

Hi Big P,

Is it possible to alter the mod in a way so as to have some of the new smilies load onto the post page whilst selecting others to be used Vb style?

Errrrrr..........  is it possible that you might like to consider doing this in a later update?


And for anyone that says that they can't see the point in it, the answer is simple, a lot of people hate Vb style and prefer smilies to show on the page, but if you have over 50 or so it slows the transfer of the smiley images once the post page is loaded. So a combination of the two will speed it up by putting the popular smilies on the page with the less popular on a Vb style page.

Don't install by hand! What you should do for the language is search for text number that I am (by opening smilies2.mod and modifying what to look for).

Make sure you uploaded Smilies.php too.

It's possible alright. I don't have the time right now, but at the end of next week I'm off for 2 weeks on my easter holidays (although I really should be studying), I'll look into it then....

If you use boardmod, and it installs properly, then I know the problem is server related (or human error). I can't help unless it is installed by boardmod.
