I did try, no help though. It's people with portals that need it more than boards, because they have it for their entire site most of the time, so if they cant get it indexed, theres no hope

I'm seeing my first results from this mod in google today.  So far, my pages in google have about doubled.  It's been less than a week since I installed the mod.

It's too soon to see an increase in traffic, but I just did a test to see if google could find some unique text from one of the posts on my board... came up #1.

That's encouraging.  I'm eager to launch my board with the smart URL's, but am waiting for the next mod revision, to make it stable.  Thanks Anguz!

I wish I could get this working on my site!!! I've been waiting for this forever.  I think the buffering is what crashes the site.  Hope a new built-in version without buffering comes soon

My Smart URL pages have now dropped from Google.

Omar - have all those pages been in Google for a while (more than a few days)?  Or it this something from today?

If they have just showed up in google, you will see them drop in and out for a few weeks before it stabilizes.  Google has servers in 10 different datacenters, and updates take a couple of weeks to propagate to all the datacenters.  Depending on which one your search is performed on, the results may vary.

You can usually tell if an update is underway by doing your search at http://www2.google.com/ and http://www3.google.com/  you will usually see new pages appear in www2 and www3 a few days before they apear at the main search page.

in my mod, search for this line

Yeah - I've heard this.  I'll try to be more patient.

Results are back in a big way this afternoon.  I'm now showing about 10 times the original number of pages (started with about 100, now have over 1000).

Thanks Anguz.  I've checked your page a few times, and see they're working just fine there.  I don't know what the problem is on my system.

I installed this on a friend's forum and it seems to work great.  Haven't had a visit from google yet, but we'll see..

you need to submit the site to goggle, to ask for a visit from the bot. otherwise, that will never happen
