Another minor issue  

Under "Album & pictures settings" in gallery settings there is an option to "Show image caption in the thumbnail view" however if I click this nothing changes and the tick is not retained...? Obviously not affecting the functionality but it would be nice if it worked

@ Spaceman-Spiff. Will this beta be in 1.4.1 or 1.5.1 RCxx? I'm still on 1.4.1, But I coild throw up a test site for 1.5.1.

I can't install it - my provider let me set the rights only to 755 and when I press the "Let's go" button nothing happens...
(My provider says all scripts run under my UID and 777 is not available due to security reasons)
What can I do?

This is wonderful, my members love it and due to this I am having to add additional Albums.

Is there a way to sort the Albums instead of having the newest one at the top?

Albums are sorted by creation date.  I think Spaceman-Spiff is working on a different sort setup. I think you can edit your SQL tables and change the creation dates for the albums to get a different sort. (I havent tried this, but it seems like it would work) Backup you stuff BEFORE you tyr this

Yup, I'm working on the sort, a bit stuck at the moment tho

my users have advised me that sometimes when they add a comment, the confirmation is displayed "your comment was added" then the page changes and the warning "Sorry, the copyright tag must be in the template.

till this moment, i cant figure out what causes this, since i never gotten it myself
a few users have, others dont, its quite weird

anyway, i've made a manual installation file, basically just a dbmod file, so anyone having problems with the installer, try touse this: http://www.monkey-pirate.com/spiff/mods/Gallery%20Mods/manual_install.zip

@ Spaceman_Spiff, I got that copyright thing the very first time I ran the gallery, It needed the template coppied into the galllery folder to make it behave. Is it possible somethingis causing the script to need this on an intermittent basis.

For example, uploading an image changed the working directory and causes the script to try and get the template from the wrong folder.

Just for the sake of exploration: do those of you who are getting the copyright thing have a copy of the templafe in your gallery folder? (Or a symlink)

Nerd3d, I didn't have the template in the gallery folder but I have now and the problem still exists. I posted a test comment and saw it with my own eyes..

Yes, the "Your comment has been added screen" is displayed then it automatically refreshes and shows the error but it does not happen on every picture / album

This is just a guess, but I'll bet this is the problem child...

This is line 100 of db_input.php Try changing it to something like this just to see what happens...

If this stops it then something is going wrong with the HTTP_REFERER variable. Try hovering over the back button to see where it leads too. Likely the URL is messed up.

I have modified the line as suggested and the error is no longer displayed however it is not possible to see anything from the back button. Before changing the refresh URL, I noticed if somewhere in the confirmation page was clicked before it refreshed the error would not occurr......
