No Spaceman, I understand that the Gallery has its own script file, I just meant that if you were running Yabb so that you needed your mod, then you had to have your Javascript enabled because of ubbc.js

Would it make a difference on the
<yabb GalleryHeader> if you didn't follow case? I had
<yabb galleryHeader>.

it should be fine, i checked your gallery, and the <script> tag is there
i cant think of any other reason why there's a js error
also the copyright error
if anyone sees that copyright error, can he/she give me a screenshot

I do not have permissions to delete/alter/move etc the config file.
Any thoughts about this?

I had the same parse errors.  I had to delete the . before the gallery dirs.  My database doesn't like those.  but now, unfortunatley, I can't upload anything.

which gallery dir?
maybe u need to put full path instead?
like /home/dekroego/public_html/kroeg/gallery

the settings im using:
Directory & file settings:
Path to album directory RELATIVE to Coppermine directory: album/
The directory where user uploaded pictures are stored (RELATIVE to album directory): userpics/

I didn't mean gallery dir
The parse errors I was getting were caused my the '.' before the "gallery pictures" under the // mysql table names.

  We talked a few weeks back about some minor probs I was having with SSI and thanked you for your help on a bunch of things then, but I have to do it again here.

This is an awesome mod and it works great.  The only problem that I had installing it was having to create the tables and config.inc.php by hand.  Other than that, everything seems to be running flawlessly.


I did customize the look of the gallery to fit in my site completely and added another gallery menu to fit in my navigation bar.  If anyone would like to take a look at what kind of customizing you can do with it, the link to my gallery is here:  AMXcellence.com image gallery

If there is someone really interested in adding the extra menu, let me know and I will try to put it into a mod for you.

yea, i heard there are some problems with the installer
i'm planning to make a new installer for the next major version
probably next version to be released is another bug fixes release

Assuming that you have set the permissions correctly on that file (min 644) so that it can be written to, I have had occassions that I would have a file give me fits too.  Usually, I can ftp a copy back to my computer, then delete the copy on the server.  I then alter it like it is needed and ftp it back to the server and reset the permissions on it.  Most times this has corrected my problem.  I have never figured out the "WHY" behind it doing this though.  Someone else may have an answer to that to help avoid the problem in the future. Hope this helps or some one can come up with a better answer.

I have tried to set permissions to 777 but i cannot delete the file no matter what.

Did you set the permissions for the folder too?  I also have had trouble with some file names that used strange characters in the file name and the config.inc.php could be having a problem because of the 2 dots.  I don't have the problem with that, but one application I installed(The Gallery) has file names that start with a dot and/or numbers and had to have my host delete them for me after I changed to this gallery. You might want to check with your host to see if they can see any problems with this file.

I have actually had this problem too.  I kind of forgot about it.  I set the config file once and haven't change it since.  I just editted the file manually and put it back.  I did try to go back and change some settings to check it and it still doesn't save to the file.  File permissions are definitely right.  I run Apache 2.0 on Win2k.

It's not a big issue for me though.  Thought the info might help to solve Yordy's problem.
