Erm really? That's odd, you're the only one I know with that problem. What you should do is remove your Smilies table and add this current one. Problems sometimes exist if you're using an older version (previous to 1.5) Smilies Table.

Hello,

I've installed the Add more smilies mod SE 1.5 .
The installation was YaBBPack Type.

After I've finished I went back to the admin area to add some smilies. But something very strange happened :
There is no Add smilies option. Actually for some reason the link to the mod's interface doesn't exist.
I've uninstalled the mod and installed it again and it still doesn't work.

What to do ?

If you have read the posts in this thread, you must know that the YaBBPak is still "buggy". Try to install it with Board Mod.

Why ? Just unpack it, point the YaBB files to Board Mod, install the mod file and upload the new files to your server ! It's not more difficult than installing YaBB SE.

O.k , I've installed Boardmod 2.5.1
I've downloaded all my YaBB files via FTP , but board mod wants a file called yabb.pl , Yabb.cgi .
There are no such files in my YaBB directory.

Have any idea how could it be ?

Yes, go to your directory, and when you are there click the drop down box to the other setting to view all the files in the yabbse/ folder. Then click index.php Easy.

I'm probably an idiot but I click index.php and nothing happens..... what's next?

I honestly can't help you.
Click the folder icon, go to your yabb se directory. Then type in the name, index.php. Then click open.
After that, the full path should be given to your index.php at the top of boardmod (where it says path to YaBB.pl).
Then put your mods in your YaBBSE 1.4.0 folder, and install them (you have to click the pull down menu from YaBB 1 Final to YaBB SE 1.4.0 y'know.

The only problem *I* have is that the smilies SEEM to work, but when you post them, they appear as the code you need to type them... how do I make the code convert properly? What did I do wrong? Is there a simple line of code I could just alter?

Dear God... My members are revolting without the smilies... Hopefully this is just a quick fix.

lol. It's a quick fix and we have gone over it a few times. Your problem is with the package manager. Sometimes it decideds not to do the last file.
So, download your subs.php file. Now, open smilies.mod and near the bottom are these tags:
<edit>
Sources/Subs.php
</edit>
The next two changes you'll have to do manually. Search for the code give and do what the mod says. Easy.

I wasn't, I was using the 1.5 table.
