I tried before to install but to no avail so is waiting for 1.5.1!

Quick question, does the Gallery have the option or is already available to create categories for groups of photos? For example, main categories, sub cats then groups of photos within sub cats?

If not is this option being considered?

I have installed this mod in 1.4.1 and it seems to work. I can create albums and I can enter as administrator.

BUT if anyone try to upload an JPG image (GD is installed on my system) gallery says:
"The image you have uploaded is corrupted"

If I search new pictures it find every image file but it can't show tumbnails with 'showthumb'.

If you run 'showthumb.php' directly:
QuoteWarning: imagecreatefromjpeg: 'albums/userpics/1999_4tenores.jpg' is not a valid JPEG file in /home2/www/camerata/yabbse/gallery/showthumb.php on line 75

Fatal error: imagecreatetruecolor(): requires GD 2.0 or later in /home2/www/camerata/yabbse/gallery/showthumb.php on line 78

My PHP info says:
QuoteGD Support enabled
GD Version 1.6.2 or higher
JPG Support enabled
PNG Support enabled
WBMP Support enabled
Please go to http://www.camerata.es/yabbse/gallery/ for test.

Any suggestion?
Thanks in advance.

im not sure what the problem is, but i think your PHP version is outdated
you're currently using PHP Version 4.0.6

from Coppermine readme file:
QuoteTo use this script you need a server with :
- a not too old version of PHP (Maybe PHP >= 4.0.6 is OK)

from YSE download page:
QuoteTo install and run YaBB SE successfully you server needs to meet or exceed these requirements
    * mySQL 3.22
    * PHP 4.1

if u need to ask for the specific requirements for coppermine script, pls ask in http://www.chezgreg.net/cpgboard/

First, thanks for this great mod!

I had to hard code a couple of paths and copy the template into the gallery folder, strange this only effects some systems.

I think I've run across a bug in coppermine. In the import images function I get Fatal error: Call to undefined function: db_connect() in /home/virtual/site5/fst/var/www/html/Forum/gallery/searchnew.php on line 42
I can't find that function any where in the coppermine code. Anybody know what this should be?

P.S. I didn't read this entire thread, so if this has been answered just smite me and steer me to the answer.

Now the problem is I have the "Gallery" icon open a new windows (~gallery/index.pgp) but id like to be able to NOT spawn a new windpow but rather load my template around it such that the photoviewer appears in a similar way to the way the calendar or message board appear.. any help would be appreciated im brain dead after this weekend getting all these mods to finally work together .. PLEASE HELP!!!

yabbse/index.php
'gallery'=> array('$boarddir/gallery/index.php', 'gallery'),

yabbse/Subs.php
$galleryurl = "gallery/displayimage.php?album=1&pid=18&slideshow=2000";
----------------------------------------------------------------------
global $runningGallery;
   if ($runningGallery) { $yycopyright = "<small>Gallery powered by <a href=\"http://www.chezgreg.net/coppermine/\" target=\"_blank\">Coppermine Photo Gallery</a> v1.0 RC 3</small><br>\n".$yycopyright; }
-----------------------------------------------------------------------
global $galleryurl;
$yymenu .= "$menusep<a href=\"$galleryurl\" target=\"_blank\" ><$img[gallery]\"></a>";
-----------------------------------------------------------------------

the files are all correct i just need a way to get this to act as a portal ... Helppppppppppppppppppppppp]

Kryz...
Check out my post on page 14 of this topic.
I had not figured out how to get the array to work with the index.php file....but I fixed it where it is no longer needed. I posted all the instruction there.

Is there a way to set this up so users can delete the images they uploaded? I work with artists and they don't like not being in control of their work.  ;)

OK, all you folks playing with the (way cool) photo gallery hack. I've made a little add on that makes the gallery use buttons more like the rest of the YaBB forum.

I sure hope y'all find this useful! :)

God
I would kill (well thats a bit over the top) for this mod.
I may even start my forum again and use 1.4 (I use 1.5.1 at the mo)
Nerd3d, I see you have it on your board, but you are using the coppermine version.
It looks good and blends well into your site.
Was that hard to do?

The mod is pretty much stock. As you can see I created the YaBB style buttons and hacked the menu function to use the image style buttons. (You can get the buttons and hack at my site) I did some real minor hacking to move the buttons along the top of the gallery.

I also changed some security stuff to allow users to delete their own posts.  The function is pretty weak so I wouldn't  recommend that to everybody. I work with artists and they aren't going to post stuff unless they have control over it. If somebody hacks it and delete all the pictures I'll just restore them. That's what backups are for.

Spaceman-Spiff has done a really good job of integrating this into YaBB.

Well, it still seems too much for a php virgin like me :)

QuoteSpaceman-Spiff has done a really good job of integrating this into YaBB.
Is his script comp with 1.5.1 (maybe i should ask him myself  ;D

Thanks Nerd3d, but the amount of work and possible pitfalls for someone like me, I dont feel confident enough to do it.

Just do it. What I know about PhP would cover the head of a good sized pin and I pulled it off. To do a stock install all you have to do is let the BoardMod program to apply the MOD. Then add a single line to my template. The only glitch I had was I needed to put my template in the gallery folder too. And a couple of lines in init.inc.php needed to have their paths hard coded. If you get messages about "couldn't find subs.php" post a message and I'll show you where to make the change. (I believe the instructions are in this thread somewhere already, but who want's to read 17 pages to find it!)
