hi sorry for interrupting but i was just wondering if jeff has set any date for the release for 1.4...

cos im on yabb 1 gold still and have been following this site for 3 mths and wait for a stable release...

saw the bugs forum and seems there are still a couple of bugs but overall just wondering if you guys have any big problems in running the forums?

heard this 1.3v is pretty stable and usability is high?

Here are two small bugs that "seem" as if they wouldn't be too hard to fix.

1- &quot   text being used in place of ".  See Chris Cromers sig. p.s. I have also seen it in  the "Custom Title" area.

2- e-mail addresses that start with numbers i.e. [email protected] don't seem to work. (Like the ~ issue)

Thanks for a great product!

Fixed background image? Can't that just be added to template.php into the HTML code?

I'm not sure, maybe some more experienced html people ansver this?

I have used wBB and there was a nice choice of path to bgimage and also for fixed bg image. Suspose it wold be nice option?

How about IP tracking, what systenm it gonna be, I vote for tracking the real IP without proxy. Also what about give specific users right to specific forums by name, let us say after 10 messages. This was the option I missing earlier, you remember?

dwp: Yes that is possible to have a fixed image in your template, I used to use one myself but it got a bit annoying.

Just put this into the body tag of your template:

background="URL_OF_IMAGE" bgproperties=fixed
Change URL_OF_IMAGE to the location of the image you want for a background.

For instance my body tag looks like:

<BODY text=#000000 link=#0033ff bgColor=#f5f5f5 background="URL_OF_IMAGE" bgproperties=fixed>
Remember the body tag is already in the template. :)

Thanks for advices  :)
Can I ask you if it's possible to change something in v1.31 allready to get real IP shown at messages. I get problems with these proxies when my ISP uses same IP's for all costumers  ???

I doubt it, unless Chris or someone else doing some beta testing has a few minutes I doubt it. It will require a small block of code to determine which method to use...I just don't have the time...

I will direct some of the guys here though in case they manage to find a few moments...

We have been working very hard with beta testing, we are trying to get alot of bugs out before we release it.

You don't want us to release a even buggier version of YaBBSE do you?

Just be patient.

Do you mean it has been full of bugs all the time? But you was taking all bugs out of 1.3 too, how can there be so much bugs? Are you making buggy software  ;)
