[Beta 1.5.1RC1 & 1.4.1] Photo Gallery Mod

Great Mod...

I have lost my profile button on the top to the right of the search button after installing the Photo Gallery - it appears to have been replace by the gallery button...

How do I get it back?

I manually created the table sand it works!!!!!

Except for one small dilehma.
When I try to upload an image it goes to db_input.php
and it just hangs there...

No upload at all...
Anyone know why!?

arghh I give up this is complete buggy and im getting sql errors
now.

The interface looks good but thats about it!

Check this link below for the thread for a newer updated version of this mod specifically modified to integrate with YaPP...not all the issues are resolved but most issues people are having are covered.

I have included much more detail in the readme to help people having problems, and I have upgraded the mod file to work with boardmod flawlessly under YaPP.

A question for all the PHP experts. For what reason would I not be recognized as admin when I enter the gallery? Actually no member is recognized when they enter the gallery and I don't know why this would be.
If anyone can help.

Crimson,

Give some system specs on your server..saying it did not help or it does not work.....does not help anyone with your problem.  

Also be sure your permissions are set correctly...and did you check out the zip file in that thread or just the thread itself, also are you running YaPP or YaBBSE if YaBBSE than of course a mod for YaPP may not be very helpful.  

EDIT: I see in an earlier post you are using YaPP....if so be sure to download my zip in the readme it explains that I fixed those two errors in the mod file you spoke about earlier and I provide detail on setting the proper permissions and proper config of your php.ini file.

I got everything working right finally. I at first didn't know what I did to get it working but the thing I did differently must have helped.

I reinstalled the mod and got errors kinda relating to the path of the files in the yabbse directory needed for the gallery.

In the gallery directory, include/init.inc.php,  $sourcedir didn't work so at first I put for example ../Sources/Subs.php and everything that refered to anything in the yabbse directory was listed like that (../english.lng and so on)

The gallery worked like this. I was able to upload pictures but I was not recognized as admin. Also it would not show who uploaded the pictures or tell you any other information relating to the board. It was like I wasn't on the board.

I went into include/init.inc.php and changed the path to the complete path. home/www/mysite/yabbse/... and now it works.

I just wanted to post this just in case someone else runs into the same problem because I thought it may have been a database problem. If I had never reinstalled I would have never thought to change that to the complete path. So happy now.

I think everything will work if I can figure out how to get the

else if ($action == 'gallery') { header("Location: gallery/"); }

into the array. Any ideas?

I'm tried to configure the gallery for 1.5.0 also...but I'm not that much into "programming" ...can't figure aout how to embed it into the arry....
somebody run this mod with 1.5.0 ?

All functions correctly for me except when me post or that I erase a commentary, I get a blank page.

When you upgrade to 1.5
i think you have to chmod the folders to 777
and set 'gallery' and 'include' directory back to CHMOD 775. After done installingand  Gallery ...

Make a copy
template.php to yours computer and renamed to template.html

and copy this to the gallery folders !

First of all, can I say to anybody that has had to put the paths in, the best way to sort this problem is to change the paths in the YaBBSE Admin centre - not in the settings file for the gallery.

Changing it in the admin center also sorts out the need to not have a duplicate template.html file in the gallerry root.

The rest of the problems are associated with the place you put the tags in the template.

If your gallery CSS isnt working, its to do with <yabb galleryHeader> place this directly before </head>

I have replicated your problem diva, and the way I solved it was to place the tag at the end of the body not at the beginning.

so your body tag should be

Is there a simple set of instructions for getting this to work with 1.5?  It was working fine in 1.4.1, but even though the tags are in place, it's no longer there on 1.5 (I just upgraded)

Any suggestions?

Any plans to put out a 1.5 mod for this gallery.  I really like this mod, it has some great potential.  
Looking forward to being able to run it on my forum!
