My bad, sorry.  Having some sleeping/sickness problems.... :-[.

Does the file '/home/httpd/vhosts/citymusic.nl/httpdocs/forum/Sources/Subs.php' exist?

I've already got the answer..

The readme file said that I had to CHMOD the directory Sources to 666 but it has to be 777 or it won't work....

So maybe it's an idea to change it in the readme file....

chmoding sources to 777 is not a good idea, try 755 and see if that works.

Hi folks,

I've a very stupid question...I'm running 1.5.1RC1 (or similar!), I want to upgrade to 1.5.2 using the YabbPaks (this seems to easiest way of doing it.

Can someone please tell me which YabbPaks I need to get? I have the following 2 Paks -

YaBB SE 1.5.2 Upgrade
YaBB SE 1.5.2 Update (from 1.5.1 with bugfix)

Do I just install these? Doing the Upgrade first and then the Update?

I'm also assuming the YabbPak setting will update all the files it needs?

After reading through the threads I see Taildragger also was/is in my position. Rather than download the zip files and go through the rigmaroll of a manual update, I'd like to do it via the YabbPaks...as mentioned I have both the fixes for 1.5.1...do I just run then both?

I'd like to get secure ASAP just in case I get unlucky...cheers.

Any help will be appreciated, thanks.

Richard.

There is no YaBBpak to update your install from 1.5.1RC1 to 1.5.1 final.  You must do that first.  (a lot of security holes - documented and undocumented - were fixed!)

You'll have to do it in steps, upgrading from the previous versions first.

I think the safest way would be to go:
1.1.0 -> 1.3.0 -> 1.4.1 -> 1.5.1 -> 1.5.2

Upload and run upgrade.php of the above versions so that the database and Settings.php will be upgraded to 1.5.2. Afterwards overwrite all files (except Settings.php) with the 1.5.2 files (yabbse_1-5-2_safe.zip).

Well, if all upgrades go well it can be done quite fast actually.

btw. I mentioned 1.5.2 as part of the upgrade path, but 1.5.2 has no upgrade.php, so that's one step less :)

Then that's the same upgrade.php as is shipped with 1.5.1. There have not been any changes in the database structure or in the Settings.php between 1.5.1 and 1.5.2

Or if you don't feel comfortrable doing the upgrade, I will do them for you, would be nice to get something from my Amazon.com wishlist in return though.
